Appointments and Promotions Department
Main duties of the Appointments and Promotions Department:
•
Providing advice, continuous analysis and giving opinions on policies
concerning all segments of the appointment and promotion process;
•Support to standing committees and other
working bodies of the HJPC BiH;
• Providing expert support to standing committees
and other working bodies within the HJPC BiH within the scope of the
Department's responsibilities;
•
Professional, technical and administrative support in all areas of appointment
of judicial office holders in accordance with prescribed procedures;
• Keeping records of application materials
submitted by candidates required for appointment procedures and career
advancement in the judicial service;
• Keeping records on the status of persons
appointed to the positions of judges, prosecutors, and legal associates;
• Maintaining official records related to
initiated court proceedings in the area of appointments and monitoring the
related case law;
• Providing support in drafting responses in
disputes initiated against decisions on the appointment of judicial office
holders;
•
Keeping a register of personal files of judges and prosecutors for the purposes
of the appointment and promotion procedures;
•
Entering, updating and managing data in the existing databases, and in
coordination with the ICT Department, participating in the assessment and
design of software solutions/improvements for databases, systems and processes
essential for supporting the operation of the Department;
•
Participating in midterm planning, annual programming, monitoring and reporting
within the HJPC BiH;
• Identifying, developing and implementing new
and improved methods of work to support the development of the Secretariat of
the HJPC BiH and realisation of the set goals of the HJPC BiH;
• Other tasks arising from the competence of
the Department and other duties as assigned by the Director of the HJPC
Secretariat.
